You might notice some smoke, fire, and commotion around the Minot International Airport this week. You guessed it – more training.
This time, it’s the Minot Fire Department’s required annual Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting training. Firefighters will use a smoke-filled simulator to train on rescuing passengers from an aircraft, and practice extinguishing fire on the ground.
The training will take place mostly in the afternoons this week Monday through Thursday. So if you see a bunch of fire (and firefighters) don’t be alarmed. Every day is training day for the Minot Fire Department.
