Minot, ND - Minot Health Clinic is now offering a Rapid RT-PCR Covid-19 test, which is required for international travel.
Trisha Fennern, founder of the clinic, states “A couple of weeks ago, I was contacted by Visit Minot requesting a local business to offer the Rapid PCR test for travel. At the time, the primary concern was to serve Canadians. Since then, I’ve recognized the need to provide this service locally and decided to invest in the equipment.” Local residents and Canadians no longer have to travel outside of Minot to acquire this testing.
Many travel restrictions require a RT-PCR, molecular, or NAAT test be conducted prior to arrival at the destination. The testing used at Minot Health Clinic encompasses all 3 of these features. It is a molecular in vitro diagnostic test using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and is a Nucleic Acid Amplified Test (NAAT) utilizing reverse Transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The Rapid RT-PCR COVID-19 test satisfies most travel requirements; however, it is the purchaser’s responsibility to verify the test will be accepted for travel prior to purchase.
