Minot FONSI and EA Wildlife Hazard Removal Report

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced an approved Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the August 2020 Environmental Assessment (EA) analyzing the proposed hazardous wildlife attractant removal and drainage improvement at Minot International Airport (MOT), Minot, North Dakota.

The FONSI indicates the project is consistent with existing environmental policies and objectives as set forth in the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment.

The Environmental Assessment (EA) documents the economic, social, and environmental effects associated with the airport’s intent to remove hazardous wildlife attractants and improve drainage.

The FONSI is attached to the August 2021 Environmental Assessment (EA). In accordance with current Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) regulations, copies of the FONSI and EA will be available through December 17th, 2021, at the following locations and is posted at the link below:

• Minot International Airport, 305 Airport Road, Minot, ND 58703

• Minot Public Library, 516 2nd Ave SW, Minot, ND 58701
